A clean family run hotel with friendly staff. A cozy beer garden with very good food and affordable prices. When we come back to Meissen we will book this hotel again. I can recommend the hotel to others. We wish you all well, health and a full house.

We came to Meißen because I had been interested in the place for a long time. With a bit of luck, the "Old Smithy and the Golden Anchor" was our first port of call for three nights. Here we were received in a friendly and courteous manner! ... and, we were lucky to get a nice room for three nights. This pension is family run. It is also very familiar here! The boss lends a hand and has an open ear for everything. The beer garden in the courtyard is beautifully designed and with the good service you can quickly forget the time. The food tasted very good. So also great Saxon cuisine! For the owners: Just keep going and we wish you continued success and of course many guests.

German food can be poor sometimes and this place exemplifies the general standard of the produce. Avoid.

Amazing place! Besides the rich, tasty and remarkably well served food we enjoyed the lovely patio itself and the great hospitality that the owner and the further staff treated us with. The rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with new furniture and windows. Probably the best accommodation in Meissen, worth checking out.

Here you can eat really delicious. And what I must mention very positively, is that dogs are desired in the outdoor area and also in the guest room.

In the old smithy it is very cozy and attractively decorated! The old tools in the smithy are worth seeing exhibits. The food was good, even if the farmer's breakfast was a little over-salted and the cyclist tasted very special! The conditions were always attentive, but not intrusive. Unfortunately a little parking in front of the house, but in about 100 meters away you can park directly on the Elbe.

Super nice quaint restaurant. Super loving and nice service. Very child-friendly. The food was excellent. Price / performance top. Portions very good. If you want to eat something really good in a nice atmosphere, you are in good hands here. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Meißen.
